A sensible first for me today.....

Let me ask a question - how many of you wear some kind of sun protection everytime you go outside? And that applies wherever you live in the world.

I'm guessing it'll be a pretty low number; in the distant past I have been guilty of the same, and tanning beds, and sunbathing until I was pink! Well let's just say since I hit my mid' 30's and then moved here where the sun is much more intense, I have changed my ways. I also have been scared into action by how much older some of my sun/tanning bed worshipping friends look as they approach their 40's!

So for the past few years I have rarely stepped outside my home without at the very least Neutrogena Ultra Sheer (the one with Helioplex) factor 45 on my face, neck, chest and hands. I just put it on religiously after my face cream everyday. I keep tubes on hand in the bathroom, both vehicles, the kitchen, work and the garage.

This year I have actually stepped it up a gear, in the same brand but to the new factor 85 sun block - and I still have a bit of a tan, but a safe one! Some of you have commented in the past few days on how young my mum looks, well she's also a slave to sun protection and nagged me for years, until I listened. So I guess if we have a secret to looking younger, right there you have a big part of it.

So today I am going to do the next most sensible thing I have ever done for my skin and spend approximately $90 on an all over skin check by a Dermatologist. I have always had a few moles and have fair skin with freckles, so I just decided to have a check-up and get a baseline for the future.

The Hubster see's him every 6 months for something else and he always has patients in his waiting room with either Acne or Skin Cancers. I have noticed how the people living here are extremely poor at using sun protection and sadly I see more and more all the time who have had moles removed. A few of them can also testify to me lecturing them and even in the odd case handing them sunscreen!

So this is one of my pet issues if you will....just remember skin cancer is one of most dangerous, fast and often terminal cancers.

So I ask you in all seriousness, would you rather have a tan or live? - it may just come down to that one day! Oh and you tanning bed users thinking you're safe, think again. A recent study has disproved the theory that tanning beds are safer, plus to put it very bluntly, in a few years you'll have skin that looks like the hide of a cow.

Personally I'd rather glow healthily like Nicole Kidman into my old age, than look like a female George Hamilton!

Traditional pursuits for mum!

Yesterday we went along to visit my hand quilting group in the next town. This is my mum's fourth visit here, so she knows this group very well and has been before. But she always enjoys their traditional work, camaradary and catching up on their lives. My mum brought them traditional English Shortbread to have at snack time, which was very well received.

When I first arrived here, these older ladies were amongst the first to welcome me into this area with open arms and they have all become my good friends. They also taught me to hand quilt and they meet every Thursday for a day of fun and quilting. Since I have been working and am now full-time I can rarely go and it was so nice to spend time with them today.

This is where you learn all the really important local news and gossip, hear the best jokes and discuss some things that would definitely surprise you! I have also learned so much about the history of this area from them, but more than anything they are great fun and I am very fond of them all.

Yesterday one of the ladies needed a work top taken in and so she just bought it along for some help. In no time Anita had it pinned to fit and then my mum (in pink) and Peggy took over and did the sewing part for her. As my 'substitute' Grandma Irma commented (she is the closest lady to the camera on the left in the first picture) - this is how it was in the old days, all the women helping each other.

The ladies finally finished hand quilting this antique quilt today, it has taken them 4 months of hard work and it is now a thing of great beauty. The fabric in this was hand pieced by the owners mother from old sugar sacks!

Ladies you NEED this product!

Well you do if you ever wear eyeshadow or any kind of eyeliner on your upper eyelid! I first discovered this amazing little bottle of magic about 7 months ago at Sephora the 'grown-up girls candy store' in OKC.

I was already a huge fan of another product by Urban Decay called Midnight Cowboy. An amazingly flattering pale pink and sparkly eyeshadow, that for years all my girlfriends and I turned up wearing to the same evenings out, again and again! So I thought I would try their eyeshadow primer and it is truly remarkable.

I use it without fail daily! Even when I am only wearing mascara I will put it on just to even out the skintone on my eyelids and wake my eyes up with it's pale skintone colour. But if you use it under any kind of eye makeup, in all seriousness it will look just as perfect 14 hours later, even in 100 degree heat! Nothing creases, fades, smears or just wears off over the day and I now stockpile this to make sure I never run out. Even my terribly cheap and cheerful eyeshadows will last uncreased all day long, so it's worth every penny and more!

I am not the only fan, my good friend Karla also blogged about this, but I can't link to her rave about it as she has since moved sites. But Karla if you see this and can link, please go ahead or add your comments too.

So here's my drift - "Wear eye makeup? BUY THIS PRODUCT NOW!"

Best marketing move of the decade!

C'mon down Lane Bryant with the new 'right fit' sizing for your jeans for curvier ladies.

Trust me on this, if like me you have spent your whole life trying to fit into size 8 jeans, then to be told you need a size 2 is likely to get your immediate attention!

This happened to me on a recent visit to OKC whilst trying out the newly revamped LB jeans. When the assistant suggested I ought to try a size 2, after assessing my hips and butt, I literally laughed out loud and replied "AWWW HELL YES!" in my Brit' accent which really tickled her!

But joy of joys they were too big, so she said "Oh honey you're a size 1" and sure enough, once she'd helped me back up off the floor where I'd fallen in delirium, this proved to be the case. Well talk about a guaranteed sale, I was giddy with excitement as I paid....LOL!

I told her even if I hadn't needed jeans I'd have bought them just so I could see something with 'size 1' on the label in my closet! I literally left the store grinning from ear to ear :-)

So if you have also always dreamed of fitting into a size between 1 to 8, I strongly suggest you head into your nearest LB store for a morale boost you can't beat.

28 days and counting.....

Since the moment it was announced they had finally agreed terms, this is the movie I have been most anticipating for literally years. And now I only have 28 days to wait - the Hubster has already agreed to drive me 2 hours (4hr round trip!) to see it the opening weekend, if our local smalltown cinema doesn't have it on May 30th!

Sex and the City is by far and away my all time fave TV show, I own all 6 series and have rewatched them all in the past 6 months ready for the movie. This also gave the Hubster a chance to see them, as he didn't have HBO originally and I think even he might admit he has also became a closet fan of the show.

Yesterday the movie was featured on Oprah with the cast as guests and the first clip they showed actually made me tear up, so I'm in big trouble and will need kleenex! LOL

Blondes do have more fun....

So it's time to go get my roots done this morning, as after 6 weeks as a blonde once again, I am definitely having more fun and I know the Hubster thinks I am 'blonde' pretty regularly anyway!

No going back to brown for me!

Why we make a perfect matched pair...

I was always very upfront with the Hubster about my shoe obsession, I mean if you're going to ship 70 pairs of shoes 4,700 miles.....that's something he might just notice!!

So when we had ascertained this was 'Big Love' and I was permanently hauling my Brit' behind to Oklahoma, he decided the issue of 'The Shoes' needed dealing with in an organised fashion.

So one day he called me back in Blighty and said I have the solution for storing them all neatly (I should add here he is alot more concerned about 'neat' than I am!!). He had found a shoe storage system he was sure would work and it held 36 pairs.

Now he was pretty thrilled with himself at this point as he was unaware 'quite' how many shoes I had to bring with me...just alot, and to him that would be around 36 pairs! So I cautiously commented "it looks great, but I am not sure one is going to be enough". Silence.

Well I am here, so that tells you he ordered me another and now they are both full - completely! In the picture above there's a pair per slot generally and I have a matching unit opposite this one. I now have an ethos that I cannot expand out of them, so I operate a 'new pair in/old pair out' policy....in the interests of continued marital bliss!

But after arriving I soon realised I had nothing to feel guilty about and that the Hubster and I were indeed a 'perfectly matched pair' in the footwear department too.

After all a man who has this much invested in this many pairs of quality cowboy boots (I couldn't quite get them all in this shot!) hardly has a leg to stand on with his shoe-aholic wife! After all I can get about 4 pairs of shoes to the cost of a pair of his boots ;-)

Shopaholic moves to the country!

Let me paint a scenario for you......

For the first 39 years of your life you have just about instant access to major shopping facilities and you live within 40 minutes of London. During your 30's not only are you even closer to London and living within 5 minutes of a huge Mall, but you also have a decent amount of disposable income as well. If you needed a last minute outfit you could just swing by the huge Mall after work and find one, no big deal!

Combine this with a lifelong love of make-up, hair products, clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelry and being definitely more Glam' than Grunge.....then what do you have?

A Shopaholic!

Now imagine moving in your 40th year to a VERY rural area in Oklahoma, being 2 hours from ANY kind of Mall and 3 hours from the kind you're used to! ......And Bob's your uncle that's my life now as a retired shopaholic.

We do have a reasonably large town 20 minutes away but the mini-mall is just that and contains a clothes store, a silk florist, a christian bookstore, a beauty salon, quilting shop and cafe. I am sure this paints an adequate picture for you. We do have a Super Walmart (woohoo), last year we got a Walgreens (great excitement) and there are a number of nice independant stores but this is NO shopping metropolis!

Yesterday I heard we have a Quizno's, another unconfirmed chain restaurant (Applebee's/Chilli's type) moving in, a new planned small Mall, possibly an iHop and a Lowes. They are also currently building a Hampton Inn and a La Quinta - these are heady days indeed and there is now a rapid growth spurt out here in the Wild West!

But this is also the land of constant rumours as to who is supposedly moving in next and many of these seem born more out of longing than actual fact. But undoubtedly some of these are actually going to happen - HALLELUJAH!

When I heard about Lowes yesterday it would be fair to say I was sadly over-excited, I mean it's pretty bad when a Lowes store can bring on that much happiness (gawd help me if we ever get a Garden Ridge or Hobby Lobby!). For any Brit's reading Lowes is the glamourous bigger sister to B&Q. But if we get a Lowes then it will just be a matter of time before other nationally known chains move in too, we might be talking about the holy grail of up and coming towns..... a Starbucks sometime in the distant future!

Don't get me wrong I am very happy here and have no desire to return to my old life, but the lack of decent shopping is only something a girl from London would put up with for TRUE love! It's the only aspect of my new life I really hate, and of course men really don't have alot of sympathy for us girls or our 'need' for some decent retail therapy.

When we do get to the cities I am like a kid in a candy store, poor Hubster just has to grin and bear it and generally he does. But after 4-5 hours waiting on me rushing around like a headless chicken trying to pack it all in, things can start to wear a trifle bit thin between us! And if there is a Sephora in the Mall, then he knows he is in real dire straits, as that's at least an hour right there.

One of the other issues that can cause friction is that when I try on clothes I like to have his opinion. Now this isn't because I don't know what suits me, with all that retail therapy behind me I can skim a store in 30 seconds for 'my style' and be out again if it's a dud. But I do like to at least show him what I'm thinking of getting, as I sometimes dress a little riskier than the locals (it's the Euro' thing I guess) and I want him to feel comfortable with what I wear in public - to a certain extent! But he just hates waiting around for me to try things on and would rather do his own thing, so now I just let him as it's all just too stressful otherwise and a fight ruins all the fun!

So I have become through necessity the internet shopping Queen. If you need to know where the best online store is to buy anything - just ask me!

My Shopping folder in favourites is huge and full of not only the well-known but the obscure specialists. I know where to find the best deals, how to beat prices and get those 'if you can beat our price we'll pay you the difference plus more' deals. Internet shopping is my sanity saviour out here and all the UPS drivers wave to me and know me as Sarah!

We haven't been to a Mall since October when we went to Amarillo, a great place to shop and yes if you're a Brit ' I do know the way to Amarillo tralala lala lala laaaa'! Right now we plan on a trip in April but I am starting to have serious withdrawal symptoms and have been dropping subtle hints to Hubster about going earlier.... (maybe he'll read this) before I go crazy.

So the next time you just pop down to the Mall, spare a thought for the 'enforced-by-love' retired shopaholic, buried deep somewhere in the depths of the beautiful but Mall free Okie countryside!

Every dieters nightmare....

I appear to have hit my first weightloss plateau!

There's just no movement up or down, I guess at least it's not increasing, but it's getting bloody annoying after 2 weeks.

I am staying within my Weightwatchers points and on track, so I have had a look through what I have been doing differently food wise and think I may have found the culprits.....

Some of the regular readers will remember a couple of weeks ago I was happy to discover a Creme Egg was just 3 pts. So I have been happily building them into my daily allowance since then and 'Bob's your uncle' I'm now stuck!

Prior to this the same 3 pts were used on a delicious WW recipe Pumpkin Pie that my buddy and I ate every single day. It's just sooo frustrating - they are equivalent to the same number of points, but they are obviously not 'truly' equivalent!

Pumpkin Pie is obviously healthier, contains less fat and a piece of it alot more filling - it's just not a Creme Egg! So whilst being inspired by The Biggest Loser last night, I made the sad but inevitable decision to drop the Creme Eggs and kickstart my losses again...

I may just allow myself one a week, after all they're not around for too long ;-)

I love your shoes!

This is what I heard all day long today!

I literally could have auctioned these Jessica Simpson 'ballet flat' cuties, straight off my feet to the highest bidder at school today. So I thought okay maybe it's just a teen thing, but no the older lady serving in the Quick Stop literally shouted across the store "oh my gawd cute shoes, where d'ya get 'em from?" Luckily there was nobody else in there at the time...lol!

Now this makes me feel kind of justified in my style choices, as hubby was not at all sure the first time he saw these. But then I ask you ladies, do men 'really get' our shoes? This was their first day 'out of the closet' in our rural area and they were mighty popular let me tell you.

Judging by some of the questions and comments I get in schools, the kids here think British people are just "too cool" and "so stylish"......so you know I try not to disappoint them and live up to this reputation I have purely by default ;-)

Now I have to go and search my (80+ pairs) shoe closet again and come up with another pair to keep my reputation intact tomorrow. Oh yes..........

"My name is Sarah and yes I DO have a shoe addiction"

I'm certainly no Sienna Miller, but I am doing my bit out here in the Wild West to keep the Brit' individual style and uber-cool reputation alive and well!

Ladies propose yes...but marry!!

I don't mean generally of course....I mean marry on February 29th!

Today at school one of the students told me her uncle was getting married today, I laughed and said why on earth would you want to do that!! You'd only have an anniversary every 4 years?

The answer I got back "Well yes that's precisely why he wanted to get married today"

Ok I have to say right now if my fiance wanted to get married on a day that only happened every 4 years, that would be one big RED FLAG! I mean I am sorry, but if that's not declaring upfront you're a cheapskate and not the most romantic thinker, then what else does!

Personally you wouldn't see me for the dust.....

Why do women have weak moments...

This question popped into my head whilst I was contemplating the damage done to my usually perfect Weightwatchers diet yesterday. It was just one of those days that I know all women will understand.....from the outside nothing appeared very different about my day, but on the inside I was a maelstrom of thoughts and emotions culminating in food cravings!

This time my iron clad willpower let me down, a first since Christmas, and I feasted on Kentucky Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Coleslaw (some veggies at least!) and Biscuits. But oh no I didn't stop there....I then ate 3 of my 100 calorie Reeces Peanut Butter Wafers (those 100 cal' packs are dangerous to have in the house I have decided!), followed by just a few M&M's. Last night I dutifully put it all in my points tracker, the end result being depression, a headache and I now can't eat again until Thursday!

But why do we do this to ourselves? I know hormones are often blamed and certainly that was probably a factor for me yesterday, but I didn't have a problem the last 2 months! So why now?

Why do men never seem to have these weak moments? We have weak moments regularly and not all related to food either. Most women at some point in their lives have had a weak moment where a man's concerned. Whether it be dating someone they know will be bad for them, or a last fling with an ex, staying in the wrong relationship,or a one night stand they know will never go anywhere. But despite knowing it will do nothing for our self-esteem and probably make us depressed, we charge in head first anyway!

How many of you could go to your closet or wardrobe right now and dig out an item of clothing or jewelry you have never worn, but just had to have at the time. If you're like me then you know your retail weakness - mine is shoes, a fact supported by my shipping nearly 70 pairs when I moved here! I even shipped some I know I will never have a reason to wear again living where I do now. But they were just too beautiful to be let go and after all just holding them makes me smile...lol!

How many of us hold onto clothes we know will never fit again, they may be too big or small, but the little voice is in the back of our heads saying "you just never know, better hang on to it just in case"!

I have housework weak moments too - I get up with the good intentions of getting it all done today, but then am called away by a magazine, the telephone, a friend, a book or my computer. If a man gets up with a plan to do something, usually he'll go ahead and get it done as planned and on time, he is not as easily distracted.

Even as we're indulging our weakness we already know we are going to hate ourselves for it later, but will that stop us......probably not!

I am sure hormones play a part, but I also think self-esteem is part of it, as is the need to spoil ourselves occasionally but then equally to punish ourselves too. Women are much more finely tuned into their emotions than men and maybe this also makes us vulnerable to temptations. We are more likely to take things said to us to heart, we find it hard to just let emotional stuff go, plus we are natural multi-taskers and therefore more easily distracted.

How many times have you asked a silent man what he's thinking, only to be told "nothing" and he means it! Ask a woman the same question and I guarantee the answer won't be "nothing".....it'll probably be at least two things, one of which she is worrying about!

Today I am 'kind of' doing my housework...lol! Obviously not totally or I wouldn't be writing here, but I do have two loads of laundry done, the bed stripped and the polish out ready to go. I thought I would listen to my latest book on CD, this is something my husband does with great success everyday whilst he works. But not me it seems!

I will put it on and start a task or even two and then suddenly realise I haven't heard the last few pages as my mind has wandered off somewhere else...lol. This is the main reason why every night of my life I read a book before I sleep, if I don't my mind will just keep on mulling things over for hours. A book is like my mental equivalent of an 'off' switch but not on a CD it seems!

This is maybe just one clue as to why we have weak moments and men don't....women are not only emotionally different, but constantly thinking, plus we do have all those damn hormones running amok too!

I say embrace your weak moments ladies. They're what make us all unique, very human and our lives so all encompassing, enthralling and exciting - just try to get back on track at your earliest convenience!

I am happy to report today I am back on the straight and narrow and cutting back to help me regain some lost ground.....oh and there goes my Dryer buzzing - back to the housework!

If any of you have a theory on this subject, please comment, maybe between us we can solve the mystery!

This woman is not 'Posh'

I was asked the other day if Victoria Beckham was from a really rich aristocratic family as she is so 'posh, successful and admired'? Once I had finished falling around laughing I realised it was a serious question and it occurred to me our accents are not known to you, in the same way I don't get the nuances of your accents.

So let me just assure you all......no Posh Spice is far from being posh in real life and Brit's can tell this the moment she starts talking. She is not from an aristocratic family and her whole family are what we would refer to as 'nouveau riche' i.e they propelled themselves up from nothing and made alot of money, but their accents, tattoo's and love of all things designer or bling give their true heritage away. The people with the old money who are actually posh, don't generally flash their money around, but have discreet class and understated taste & elegance.

Victoria pouted her way to fame with the Spice Girls despite rarely singing or smiling live and then married a naive world class soccer player, thereby guaranteeing herself endless wealth. She then went into a publicity overdrive re-inventing herself as a 'style icon' and annoyed the heck out of a legion of soccer fans by dictating her wonderfully talented husbands' career. As a result he is now, at an age when he should still be on the world soccer stage, signed to an unknown club in the only country in the world where soccer is not a national passion - a tragedy!

In the UK she is ridiculed, viewed as insanely ambitious with no discernable talent of her own and the Beckham's move to the USA was at the height of the UK public becoming mightily sick of seeing her in their newspapers every single day. In fact many comments were published online saying 'good riddance' and 'America your welcome to her'! Her often ludicrous fashions, ever present stiletto's, orange tan, miniscule size and a pair of breasts like over-inflated soccer balls (which she denies are fake!) - are still sneered at most days in the UK press.

So no Victoria Beckham is not posh, not generally loved by the British and certainly not missed by them......now the USA is blessed with her pretentious posing presence and witnessing her ongoing quest for world domination! She does however have the world's greatest bunions......

This maybe controversial....

I'm just wondering whether these young celebrities actually think ahead, or of the example they are setting, when they cover whole area's of their bodies with tattoo's! I don't mean just the odd one here and there, I mean a whole arm, their neck, whole lower leg or large area's of their torso.

Personally having a tattoo is not something I have ever wanted. Having said that I have had pretty henna decorative tattoo's on my ankles, feet and wrists occasionally; right now I have a kit sitting next to me so I can do some on my feet this summer. The big difference being they are subtle and fade away within 2 weeks.

Certainly in the UK when I was a teenager or in my twenties, a tattoo was viewed as a very lower class thing to have done. But these days with all the major celebrities going in for it, the kids think it is so cool to have a tattoo. I have even had 4th graders tell me they'd like a tattoo for Christmas!! I really find that very scary and also think they are too young to fully understand the longterm ramifications.

Some people have maybe one tattoo in an area they can easily cover if needed, this is their choice and if you are going to have one, at least it's somewhere it can be hidden. Because I still believe even if they won't admit it in public, many people will make a certain judgement on someone if they see a tattoo. I know when I was responsible for recruitment as an HR Manager, I would have been put off if someone had shown to an interview with a visible tattoo. I am also very uncomfortable with tattoo's of naked busty women on men, and I am generally very openminded and not easily shocked. I wonder how these men would feel, if they had to stand next to a woman with a picture of a naked male private part on her!

I always cringe when I see some female star cruising elegantly down a red carpet in a beautiful gown, displaying tattoo's down her arms or across her back or neck - how can she think that's a classy look!?

But more than anything, I often wonder if they ever consider what they are going to look like in 30/40 years pushing a walker, with badly sagging and wrinkled tattoo's all over them! They seem to forget a tattoo is for life not just until it goes out of fashion. That's when I usually get the giggles as I look at some buff, toned celebrity torso covered in tattoo's....I think the rest of us will be the ones having the last laugh at their expense one day in the future!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

I wish you all a very Happy Valentines Day and hope you get to spend it with someone you love.

My Valentine is still well worth every single one of the 4,700 miles I had to move to be with him. My love for him grows stronger with every passing day and he brings constant joy to my heart.

Weight to Lose? Get a Buddy....

This is a testament to my wonderful Weightwatchers buddy, Michelle in Rhode Island, as well as a recommendation for weight loss success.
Michelle & I met online in the WW community area when I posted for a new buddy. My first buddy just wasn't as committed and dropped by the wayside quickly. But the second time last October, I struck gold and we started emailing each other daily with tips and support.
It helped that we were both starting from around the same weight and have about the same amount to lose. We had also both done WW before years earlier and not stuck it out to goal, but were now totally committed to getting to goal. We were from the very start equally committed to building our friendship and this is vital, as one person making all the effort, just doesn't work long term.
Total honesty is another essential requirement for your buddy to really be of value to you. If you start lying to them about what you are eating, you are on a slippery slope to failure. Then there are times when one of you will have to get tough with the other, after all we all need to be accountable to someone for our actions. This is when a strong base of friendship is essential, so that things said are not taken the wrong way, but taken as a sign of caring enough to tell it like it is. We share our lives as well as our diet and this bonds us closer together as a team. We hope one day we will meet in person to celebrate our success, this week we discussed possibly having a weekend in NYC after goal!
If one of us has a difficult social situation approaching we discuss it and agree on a plan to get through it successfully. When we do fail, we have a laugh, talk it over and then ensure we get back on the plan and don't just give up. If one of us loses motivation, the other will remind them of all the reasons they wanted to lose the weight and get them back on track. We both struggled to get back on plan after Christmas and I know it was only because we had each other, we finally hauled each other back from the brink.
We email everyday, we also chat with im and then occasionally we will speak on the phone too - usually when a milestone is reached or a crisis! We exchange photo's regularly so we can see each others progress and we agreed early on to exchange reward gifts (with a budget) whenever we lose 10% as an added incentive.
We exchange food idea's, send each other things to try, share recipes and even have our own shared weapon, a low cal' homemade Pumpkin Pie. We joke that we will be the Weightwatchers girls that reached goal eating a piece of Pumpkin Pie everyday!
Michelle is off on a cruise in April and a bit worried about it, but I have already told her to enjoy herself for that week and not worry. Because when she gets back I will be waiting to help her get motivated to go onto goal and I will not let her give up.
For the first time in my life I can confidently say and actually believe, I am going all the way this time and will get to goal. So if you sometimes struggle, I suggest you find yourself a buddy like Michelle. Not only will your chances of success improve, but you will also gain a friend for life, if you're blessed like I have been :-)

Attack of the Munchies

Help WW buddies! I have a major attack of the munchies, probably because I am feeling better. So far I have managed to restrict myself to 2 packs of the Hostess 100 calorie cakes....but DH's Pecan Roll is screaming 'eat me' from the counter right now. I think I will take it and banish it to the garage, I had some last night, FATAL mistake!

I have made myself some green tea and if need be will eat a pitta & hummus to ward off danger until supper. I still have 16.5 pts for the day but I could probably eat the lot right now...LOL!

I will watch Oprah in 10 minutes and hope she distracts me.

Oh THANK GOD....my WW buddy just got in from work and signed in, she'll sort me out!

Guess the celebrity train wreck?

Ok this shouldn't be too hard.......

1 - Fishnets full of holes

2 - Sans Bra!

3 - Underwear on display to the world, at least this time she has some on!

Yep - this is the train wreck formerly known as the fresh faced young star - Britney Spears!

And when is she going to invest in another pair of boots, every photo in the last few months have featured these scruffy looking boots and quite possibly the same fishnets too!

I actually feel terribly sorry for poor young Britney. She seems to have become the poster girl for the too much, too young adage. It seems obvious to the world she has some major mental health issues, in addition to some substance abuse problems and yet once again she is unleashed from rehab' in the same state in which she entered. Anyone who goes from dodging the world's loathsome paparazzi to thinking she is in love with one of their worst......obviously needs help! Her father may now have control of her fortune but he is a long way from regaining control of her life. Her parents are trying to help her, but she is surrounded by too many leeches trying to drag her down and profit from her fall.

I suggest we all include Britney in our prayers this week, she may not appear like she cares for them right now....but any day now this is going to turn into another celebrity tragedy, and that would be very sad.

We Brit's have our own sad version of Britney in Amy Winehouse. But finally her parents seem to have taken firm action, got her in rehab' and she appears to be pulling back from the abyss.

WW fave food tips

This week I found 2 new products that will satisfy my chocolate cravings and keep me good with my WW points.

The first one is a 1pt treat for 3 cakes! 'Hostess 100 Calorie Packs - Chocolate Cake with Creamy Filling'.....these are yummy girls. First of all the chocolate is like cupcake topping chocolate, soft & squidgy, the sponge is moist and the cream filling is great. They are a real treat for any sweet tooth for just 1pt!

The second treat is the new '3 Musketeers Mint' for 3pts for both bars in the pack, or 1.5pts for just one & save the other for later. I love chocolate & mint, the outside is delicious dark chocolate with the fluffy light traditional 3 Musketeers filling flavoured with mint.

I would like to extend a big "Thank You" to my crazy friend Becky for tipping me off on these great chocolate treats for low points.
