Can I just whoop an "amen" at you regarding the INSANE amount of money that is spent on elections, and an extra whoop whoop about how early the process starts? I've banned all news from our home because I am sick, sick, sick of this garbage already.

On another note: I love the "Brit words of the day" you've got going on--I grew up in Kenya, East Africa, and "Beano" and "Dennis the Menace" comics were my staples--from them, I learned excellent words like "pong" and "nosh" and "cor."

I love your perspective and agree wholeheartedly. I'm an Independent, as of a few years ago, because I hate both parties and hate that we don't have a choice beyond the two broken ones. Unfortunately, as you pointed out, here in Oklahoma that means I don't get to vote until there are only two choices left. Our system here in the US is so broken it's not funny.
