I have decided to take a little break from blogging as I have other things on my mind at the moment.
I have had an issue with my blood pressure, as a result of the medication changes I am going through to do with my thyroid. It's now coming back under control after some further changes, but I just need to concentrate on myself for awhile. Plus my brother in England has a mystery problem and is going into hospital for some tests tomorrow, this is playing on my mind alot.I'm also staying busy doing jobs around home and so my mind and heart just aren't in it right now. I'll be back when my worries are settled, in the meantime take care.6/4/09
Continuing my one woman campaign...
to get Robbie Williams recognition here in the USA.On the last video, a few of you requested that the next one be from his award winning 2001 'Swing When You're Winning' concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London, so here you are.Robbie dedicated both the concert and the album that followed, to his mum & dad who love this music and inspired him growing up. If you watch right to the end you will see his proud mum in the audience. This was one of his biggest ever successes and brought him a legion of new fans, including my mum and grandma! The whole concert was swing favourites and really showcased him for the first time as not just a boy band superstar, but an all round superstar. I have the album of this concert and it's still a great fave of mine years later. As the song ends you get to see the vulnerable, emotional Robbie that many adore back home. Enjoy!

This is now me!
Peer at the tree branch closely (double click to enlarge) and you have a perfect image of me from now until the 4th week of July.I am now officially 'en vacance' or holiday for a few weeks and 'Mr Squirrel' there is giving a perfect impression of my intentions. Basically keep a low profile, kick back alot and do exactly what I want to do, which may in fact be bugger all!Along the way I may also use the time to stick to my healthy eating I've started, shed a few pounds, walk, practice my Tai Chi and meditation for relaxation, catch-up with local friends and blog friends I have neglected, take many photos and write alot. We will also squeeze in our trip to Chicago which we are now getting excited about. So that's my plan for the long summer, now I know why I was so happy to get a job working for a school!See you much later after my lie-in today, please don't hate me!

Brit Word of the Day
Todays BWOTD is one in regular daily use:
"Oh it was a howler, just terrible!" 'Howler' = Blunder or Faux Pas I suspect the history of this might have something to do with people 'howling' with laughter when somebody blundered this badly, but I have no proof on this theory!

Sometimes we get what we deserve!
Now I have never been a fan of the above pictured Sasha Baron Cohen (aka Borat), but I'd like to thank him for the best laugh I've had in awhile! I am even less of a fan of Eminem, but finally it seems he got some of his own medicine and found it too bitter a pill to swallow.
During the MTV Movie Awards Baron Cohen pulled this stunt as his latest character and ended up bare bottom up in Eminem's lap. And can I just say it couldn't happen to a nicer and more deserving guy!
It seems Mr Eminem is happy to take many pot-shots on his new album at other celebrities, ridiculing them mercilessly, but he don't like it when someone does it to him! So once his bodyguards had rescued him from this humiliation, he stormed out furiously much to the entertainment of the audience and many others of us.It may have been tasteless in the extreme, but I suspect Eminem's ego will be dented for awhile. And that is priceless considering how generally hateful the man is to others, justice indeed.

And another thing that wouldn't happen back home!
You're relaxing on your patio at 11pm on a Saturday night, when you notice your neighbours turning into their drive and then something odd happens. A few seconds later they reappear again going back the way they came really slowly, they then swerve across the main highway to the wrong side and start tooting (honking) their horn with abandon!! By now we are standing on a garden bench to get a clear view over the fence and watch in amazement as they proceed to veer wildly around the highway tooting their horn!! I'm now wondering if they're in deep distress or need of help, when the Hubster spots an Armadillo in their headlights. They appear to be trying to round it up off the highway LMAO! We now both have the giggles and watch as they drive back to their garage. But no the entertainment's not over! The pesky Armadillo with a death wish is back, so out they come again to repeat their wild antics across the highway, still tooting away. By now we are seriously losing it and finally the Armadillo decides to choose life and head for the baseball field. This would never happen back home as we don't have Armadillo's roaming free, they're only seen in a zoo, and our highways are NEVER that quiet!Needless to say I am delighted these dear ladies will be looking after our kitties whilst we're away. If they'll take such good care of a wild Armadillo, then our babies will be spoilt rotten no doubt!
