You NEVER EVER throw even the oldest undies in the trash without washing them first.
The Hubster thinks this is extremely funny, especially when I tell him "just in case anyone gets them out of the trash afterwards to check them out!"
Sorry but I have standards, so I wash them, THEN I trash them :-)

OMG, that is hilarious, but given that there have been a couple of panty-bandits in OKC recently, i think it is very sage advice indeed!
Pam - too true, especially as I live in such a smalltown, OMG I couldn't take the gossip or shame!

I have done that too! It's an English thing, perhaps - a bit like feeling the need to clean your house before the cleaner comes (if you're lucky enough to have a cleaner?)

I don't like for other people to wash my underwear, so I can understand your rule. I think that a nice burial for old underwear might even be a solution. I wonder if they will compost.

THe way I wear underwear I'm really more likely to lose them then be able to retire them.
